*The Unifiedfield Nomadic Artist-in-Residence Program in The Philippines finished in 2017.
Thanks to all the participants, our team and the communities.
We are proud to announce our next artist: Motohide Taguchi [JP] who will be part of The Unifiedfield Nomadic Artist In Residence Program in the Philippines in November. M. Taguchi´s project, ‘Creating Ritual on the War Time Memories’, aims to craft a musical piece in the form of a ritual through workshops with young local music groups, and will focus on the memories of war during the Japanese occupation in the Philippines. The number of survivors who have experienced the war and have lived to tell their stories have decreased through the years, hence this is the last term in which younger generation will have a chance to listen to their stories. Taguchi’s project in Davao City will offer important experiences on the reflections of war to both the artist and local participants through a series of interviews and a collaborative musical composition.Check The Unifiedfield Nomadic Artist-in-Residence Program in The Philippine FB page for updates!
In October 2016, The Unifiedfield and Balud Art Network have started co-producing Future Communities: an interdisciplinary art workshop and collaborative video-performance envisioning future sustainable models of community life in Mindanao, The Philippines. Funded by The National Commission for Culture and the Arts, the project is set to be implemented in a post-disaster Sama-Badjau community in Davao Cit, exploring collectively the following three themes: future models of community life; sustainable relationships with the natural world; imagining new psychological landscapes.
